I am going to choose the topic : Thomas Edison failed many times before successfully inventing the modern electric light bulb. He said, "If I find 10,000 ways something wont work, I havent failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward." Reflect on a challenge you overcame through persistence

would a good thing to write on is how i took my two friends on a vacation and they got really drunk and were choking and i gave them cpr and saved their lives and in the end it only made me a stronger person? is that good

Is there another choice, maybe a prompt that asks about a life changing or challenging situation you have faced? It seems that the Edison prompt is more about perseverance than a short lived situation, albeit one that had a lasting impact on you. Your topic idea is a great one for an essay, just find a way to write about it.

i totally agree… okay well what about this idea: i was a competitive dancer for 7 years won many awards, national championships and nationally recognized. when i hit puberty i began to develop a serious case of stage fright as many doctors would call it and everytime i dance in front of thousands of people i would literally get sick to my stomach often times i would vomit on the the competition floor. every performace i tried harder and harder not to get sick and i ended up a year later stopping competitive dancing… would that be a better topic like i would say how hard it was to overcome the stage fright and nervousness?
