Hello Everyone!
I am going to be joining USC in the fall and I am assigned to stay in Fluor tower. I was wondering if I could get a full review of this tower. I am worried that it is too isolated from the other freshman and too difficult to get to different places on campus easily. I am a B.A. in Theater Arts, if that helps at all for your replies.

Fluor is a freshman dorm so you will hardly be isolated from other freshmen. My child lived there this year and loved its location. Across from the gym, next door to a dining hall, short walk to the Row, and fully air conditioned. Great group of students in the suite and is living with most of them against next year.

Wherever you live on campus, it will be convenient to have a bike.

Hey anishajag!

I’m actually an RA for Fluor starting this Fall! USC recently made Fluor a freshmen dorm because as it accepts more and more students each year, USC wants to make sure that the freshmen have a place to stay on-campus.

Fluor is 11 floors, and it is home of the Latino interest and Black interest floors, called El Sol y La Luna and Somerville Place. There are 4 suites of 8 students on each floor, and 2 singles. I had friends in Fluor last year and they all loved it! I myself was in a suite stlye dorm so you do have to make a bit more of an effort to meet the other kids on the floor than you would the traditional dorm style living where everyone is connected by the same hallway and communal bathrooms, but the suite style fosters a really great, tight-knit group of friends. We’re also right next door to Webb which is mostly freshman housing as well. Also, with Parkside IRC and Arts & Humanities just down the street, there will be lots of other freshmen nearby :)

I hope this helps! LMK if you have any more questions, and I look forward to meeting you in the Fall! :)
