USC for NMF Scholarship?

I'm applying to USC, in order to be considered for full tuition (Trustee Scholarship), since the NMF scholarship only gives half tuition. Should I still list USC as my first-choice college to NMSC, or change it to some other school? Also, do colleges specifically see which college a student has chosen for the first-choice?

Lastly, does the USC financial aid package come ON TOP OF the scholarship funds, or does a student receive either one or the other?

Thanks!

I’m pretty sure it’s one or the other, but USC says it meets full financial need and we have found them to be very good. If you are in the running for the full tuition scholarship you should apply.

Merit aid will go against your need first.

The only time NMSC first choice matters is when colleges start awarding scholarships in the spring. It doesn’t matter now and can be changed later or left undecided.

Alright, thank you both!
