freshman year i had all As and A-s for final grades. Sophomore year- mostly A-/B+ range
Junior year- hopefully A-'s

my weighted gpa should be around a 4.4 (4.3-4.5 range)

i am very involved in two charities- both of which i have a long standing commitment with.
one i am a leader of and the other i am on the executive board and will most likely be a vice president next year. i probably get over 100 hours in total a year from these two.

I would suggest you apply for the December 1st deadline when you apply for USC Next year. Your SAT Score is great! Just try to get all A’s junior year and do well on your AP Exams. I think you’ll get in!

Thats ok, depending upon your Junior year AP score (4 or 5) and the class grades in senior year will be proof that you could handle and perform in the AP exams.

SamuelJ - The December 1st deadline will automatically put you in for scholarship consideration (the regular deadline is in January), so I would definitely apply by then. Personally, I did poorly on most of my AP exams and I was accepted in late January and awarded a scholarship, so I don’t think AP scores are all that important.

Samuel,
It is nearly impossible to predict who will be admitted these days to highly selective universities. USC uses the holisitic approach and studies the entire person’s application. Grades and scores are only part of the qualifications examined. The rigor of your class schedule, ECs, awards, honors, essay and teacher/counselor recommendation are all considered.

If possible visit the campus and take a tour. If you will be majoring in one of the schools which has an interview option, take advantage of that opportunity.

Have you any thoughts about a possible major? If your major will be in cinematic arts, theatre, fine arts or music, a stellar portfolio or audition will be needed.
