I have a question. Let's say, hypothetically, that I've been accepted to the BFA program at USC. Would I be able to minor in musical theatre? Would there even be a point in this, or wold you take singing/dancing courses through the BFA program?

I believe USC BFA’s do not have room in their schedules to take a minor and finish in 4 years. They can take singing/dancing courses as time allows and those are through USC’s Thornton School of Music and the very exciting new Kaufman School of Dance. All students at USC can audition for the big musical each year, and the many ISP musicals as well.

This information is about 5 years old but my daughter was told that to minor in MT at Thornton you would have to be in the BA program for theatre with a minor in MT. There is a girl from our town who did just that and has been quite successful in the 3 years since she’s graduated.
