USC, NYU or Northwestern for communications?

I am so frustrated that I can't come to a decision! I will be a communications major with a minor in marketing and possibly a minor in film, and I am wondering which school in all honestly has the best internship opportunities and which is more likely to land me a job soon after graduation? Any advice is appreciated!

Totally,
You are on the USC forum. We happen to feel SC has a great combination in a world class cinema school, Annenberg School of Communication and Marshall, a top ten undergraduate business school. The Trojan family is worldwide.

However, it would help if you could let us know, without loss of privacy, where you intend to live after graduation, your passion of the three interests, any financial aid differences, maturity level to attend college far away, urban or suburban location, climate preference and impressions from visiting.

Im hoping to live in California after graduation if possible, I don’t mind going elsewhere (but I’m not a huuuge fan of the cold). I really have no urbn/suburban preference. From visiting USC, I absolutely loved it, but I have not been able to visit Northwestern. From what I’ve seen of the buildings, I know that at least I like the facilities. I am from Norcal, so it is nice that my parents can take a 6 hour drive down to USC to visit.

Financial aid is tricky, because USC gave me a 12K grant plus work study, NYU gave me a 20K scholarship and work study, and Northwestern gave me nothing. However, since my parents are such rankings fanatics, they have only agreed to pay for all of Northwestern. For any other school, they will only pay 28K, the cost of UC attendance for me, and I will have to make up the rest in student loans. However, right around the 29K mark is what we can afford anyways, so if I attend Northwestern, my parents will be the ones taking out loans.

The reason I have come up with this combination of major+minors is because I love multimedia and at the same time enjoy public speaking. Of course, communications is still the most important to me, but my parents really consider the quality of the business programs at these schools, because they are hoping I might go into business one day.

Thanks so much for your response!
