USC sent more to Rio than any other University (44 wow!) and has more Olympians and Medalists than any other university overall as well.

44 Olympians is impressive but it’s not #1. There are 50 Cal Golden Bears in Rio:
But Stanford has the most Americans in Rio. The joy of stats!
I think Stanford also has the most current students at Rio too (29).
I stand corrected, USC has most Olympians (and Medals) overall across time but Cal has more in Rio - way to go Bears! And big plug for Stanford athletes too. What an experience for all of them. West Coast represent!
Yes, the PAC-12 is kicking butt.
Ccngrats to Stevie Johnson - USC Men’s Tennis - for bringing home Bronze Medal in Men’s Doubles.
Trojanland - where magic happens everyday.
In the end, Stanford had the most medals of any US college this time, with 27. USC and Cal tied for second with 21 each.
But this fact is amazing… even if the U.S.A. did not exist as a country, the Pac-12 alone could have won the medal count. I.E. - the Pac-12 had more overall medals than any country other than the U.S.A.
Truly exceptional!
I just saw this thread; I’m late to this dance, but… my D had 2 Rio Olympians in her small group discussion class this past fall. One of them was a silver medalist!
