USC or Cal Poly for Aerospace Engineering

I was recently admitted to both Cal Poly (SLO) and USC for Aerospace Engineering. I'm most likely going to have a concentration in astronautics. My dream job is missile and defense development. I'm from Illinois, so in state tuition for Cal Poly obviously isn't possible. However, it is much cheaper than USC.

Also, if you have any information about financial aid/scholarship info from USC that would be much appreciated.

Stats: ACT 31
GPA 5.10 (we have a very weird scale at my high school)

CSU-Caly Poly SLO has a stronger reputation in engineering than USC. Not saying that USC is inadequate, but Cal Poly is very well regarded by employers for its hands on approach to learning. If it’s a toss up to you, save the bucks and head to Cal Poly SLO.

There is no way SLO has a stronger reputation in engineering at USC. Its not even close.
But, to save money, SLO may be a better choice.

I think Cal Poly does have a little better engineering reputation, so I would definitely go there since it’s cheaper also.

Slo all the way…

But I’m definitely biased, so take that with a grain of salt…
