USC or NYU ???

Hi

I got accepted to both.

USC as undecided (but i want to transfer to Annenberg)
NYU as Steinhardt.

I want to study media and communcations.
Which one should I go?
Is it hard to transfer to Annenberg and if i do, does it mean I have to wait till the 2nd year to start courses in Annenberg?

Thanks..

NY or LA?
Warm weather or four seasons including cold winters?
Discrete campus or buildings spread through the city?
Where do you want to live after college?
Division I football and other sports or Division III?
Great school spirit or (not sure about NYU?)

Personally, I'd pick USC. The school is a beast for anything media related. And there's better campus life. You actually get the college experience. An actual campus, school spirit, sports, etc. Plus a great alumni network and mild weather year round.

I could be totally wrong, but for me, it seems like it would depend on what type of media and communications you're most interested in.

If you're interested in national, international, business communications, advertising and journalism, NYC and NYU will be where it's at.

If you're interested in the more creative arts of commercial television and film, LA and USC will be your choice.

Thanks for you answers

But if i were to pick USC, would it be hard to twitch from undecided to Annenberg?

Why don't you go to the USC forum and ask that question?

^ Post your specific question in the USC forum.

Click on "Colleges" link at left...Then look for USC on the alphabetical listing.

I don't think it's too difficult to switch around at USC. I have friends there who have switched majors/schools without a problem.

oh okay thanks.
I have mixed opinions from both sides. I wish i could visit the schools and check them out.
