I want to study media and communications, not quite sure what sort of job in the future (but something to do with the entertainment industry).

Which school is better - Steinhardt or Annenberg?

annenberg's communication program is way more substantial and better than steinhardt's. The only thing steinhardt's got on their side is the load of amazing internships in NYC, but then again annenberg's in LA so its not completely at lost

Thanks Micheeatsfish.
I noticed that Annenberg does seem better, but NYC to me seems more appealing. I'm from Hong Kong and I'm more used to the city life and I dont have a car, which i hear you would need in USC.

But i'm still on the fence..

Did you get into both? Also if you're doing like Journalism (at Anneberg) that's more similar to the Journalism program at CAS here at NYU than Steinhardt. Just to let you know, the Comm program at Steinahardt focuses more on "relations" than in like writing, broadcast journalism, and the actual act of creating...Lots of people focus on advertising and public relations and i don't know too specific about annenberg, but i get the general sense that thats not what its about. I get a sense that Annberg's more like Journalism

I got into Steinhardt in NYU. I'm not so into journalism. Mostly interested in the media industry - film industry & business or advertising or public relations.

For USC - i applied as undecided, but if I were to go, I would want to twitch to Annenberg. I do not know how hard it is though.

bump this thread
