USC or UT Austin

intended major business - finance? which one is better and why? I live on the east coast

obviously the opinions are going to be biased here, but still sound off please.

UT- they have an IB program.

Right now you have not been admitted to either university. Have you checked out your finances as SC is private and you would be out of state for the Univ. of Texas? Are the grades and EC’s you present in the upper quartile of those admitted to either school of business?

Both of these are large universities, but have a differenct “vibe”. Will you be able to visit each campus?

USC is higher ranked as a whole. The student/faculty ratio is better at 9/1. Texas has a ratio of 17/1. At SC your peers will be much more international, which will add to your cultural experience. The admit rate is far lower than Texas and the financial resources are much higher. USC graduates their students at a higher rate than Texas. SC also retains their freshmen at a higher rate. Both overall are in cities where there is much to do and have a strong music scene.
