Anyone else applied? I wondering exactly how many but I know the chances are extremely low. I've applied to the Screenwriting Program (my absolute DREAM) but it only takes about 24 students. Also I'm applying to the Dramatic Writing program at NYU and I've been accepted to the Writing for Film and Television at Emerson. Are these at all comparative to USC?

It'd be great to hear from you!

I applied to screenwriting too. :) Someone on the USC Cinematic Arts 2012 hopefuls facebook group called in to ask how many would be applying/accepted into the screenwriting program. 27/~500 applicants (so basically 5.4% acceptance rate) is the verdict.

^^;

I applied to NYU early but got put into their general studies program. I applied to BU regular.

I'm trying to be realistic about this whole thing, but I really do hope I get in, even if it means Critical Studies (which sounds awesome too, but I think screenwriting is my niche, so to speak).

Thanks for the heads-up on the Facebook group, I just joined. My family and I went out to visit the campus this summer and someone we talked to there said usually about 1000+ apply to Screenwriting. For our sakes, I hope they were mistaken!

Yeah, I applied to BU as well and just got deferred from Boston College so now I've just got the long wait for April. Being realistic (sucks, I know) I probably won't get in based just on the percentages, but you never know until you try. My parents are threatening to steal my college letters from the mailbox - they really, really want me to go to Emerson since I got a scholarship and it's only about 1 1/2 hours away.

I applied to USC's Writing for Screen & Television and will apply Regular Decision to NYU's Dramatic Writing, as well. I called USC and they are supposedly expecting 500 applications, and have about 27 spots.

Who are you two on the Facebook group? I'm Nick. Oh, wait, I just figured it out...now I feel like a cyberstalker lol
