USC Spring Semester???

So, I am a high school senior from SOCAL. I just received admission to USC Marshall School of Business as a Spring 2010 admit, instead of normal fall 2009. I was disappointed to not start right away, but with my stats I was very lucky to have secured a spot at all! They have told me that all i have to do is get most general ed stuff out of the way at community college and i can graduate on time with my class! I'm just wondering if anyone has done this???

Is it worth it? SC is the best school i have thus far out of my 11 acceptances.
How hard is a transition or w/e. Personally i cant see any problems with this because i get to take a semester to breathe after high school and I can also get more prepared for my transition. ANY THOUGHTS???

:) thanks!

it was a blessing to get a chance at this school, i cant see myself passing MARSHALL up!

CONGRATULATIONS!
There is a very lively discussion going on about this over on the USC forum. You can hear from students accepting the Spring offer, and students declining it - and their reasons. It seems you are leaning towards accepting the offer, so you can also meet other students who will be arriving on campus with you for support and ideas of how to spend the time off in the Fall.

Congrats – you get to graduate from USC and probably at a cost that is $25K less than your classmates!

As you look at your Gen Ed requirements, pay particular attention to those that may be in sequence where it may make a difference if you take them in the fall at CC. If the subsequent class is only widely offered during spring semester, it may particularly be helpful if you take the earlier class in the fall. Another thing might be to take the gen ed classes you think might be most challenging for you personally, because the CC environment may be one where it is easier to get assistance.
