USC Transfer As Sophomore

Hello, I am 19 years old and just finished my first semester at community college. I understand if less than 30 units, they will primarily focus on High school GPA and SAT scores, but can someone tell me if I should even bother applying as a sophomore (this year, deadline due February 1) or just wait till Fall 2016 then apply as a Junior or Sophomore. Here are my stats.

Community College - El Camino

Fall semester of community college I got straight A’s, and looking forward to that in the spring too.

High school GPA: 3.1
SAT: 1300

I didn’t try much in high school as you can see…

I will be applying for a business administration major

I took Business 1A (Financial Accounting) and got an A, if that matters to them at all. It is supposedly one of the harder classes at my community college.

Classes took in community college fall 2015
English 1A - A
Business 1A - A
USC GE - A
Math - Wasn’t transferable

Next semester: Fall 2015 at community college
English 1C
Business 1b
USC GE
Math

Thank you for your help.

I wanna help but I am in the same boat so I can’t answer. But I wanna ask, is the 15th of January a perfect time to send it in? How long did it take to research the school and write the essays?

Doesn’t matter when you send them in, it’s all the same.

You should apply, it can’t hurt. They’re going to ask you for spring grades for certain, if you can keep up your straight A streak you could have a decent shot.

Well you still need to fulfill their minimum requirements e.g. Calculus

Hey thanks for your reply. I will finish Calculus in college my Fall of 2016, but I completed it in high school, i just got placed lower which is why I have to move up the math sequence… Um, do you think that they will reject me for that? It says that to be considered for admission that I must complete Calculus, but at USC is there a regular business administration other than Marshall? @epicer
