I'm transferring from beautiful Glendale Community College, I'm pretty sure I'm going, I applied to three schools, my second choice is UC Riverside, and they awarded me 85% tuition, so it's a moola issue at this point. I don't think SC has finished my TA assesment yet, I checked Oasis and it says "not complete" although I've submitted everything. I have a question for you guys... if USC didn't give you a dime to go, would you go $60,000 in debt over the next two years?

I would pay, but thats kind of a non-issue since I can afford it.

if I wasn't in my current financial position, I might strongly consider a UC.

btw, anything cool in the packet? what exactly is in it?

jobu, I'm from GCC too, thats kool. it's a small cyber world after all!

i predicated that someone on this forum would recieve a decision on the 18th, and i was right. that's scary.

we're have a couple of hours to go until 12am, but what the heck..................DAY 19..............^^^^^^^<<<<<19>>>>>>>>

Congrats Jobu, post your stats bro. Hopefully ill be getting my decision next wk sometime :)!! Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i called USC yesterday about my high school transcripts not being recieved, and all they would say about admission letters is "students are expected to hear by june 1st" so not much help from them. well its good that one person got in already, that means our acceptance letters should arrive soon after.

also, do you think them asking about my high school transcripts puts me any closer to being accepted? what happened is my high school forgot to send in my transcripts, so they never recieved them. i have 59 units completed in college, so if they were going to reject me would they bother asking for high school transcripts?

i dont think its that. I think they require all supplements to be fair to everyone and to make a competent decision. Receiving a spring grades request on the other hand, is a sign that they are interested

do transfers with around 60 units recieve spring grade requests?

I received a letter for spring grades and I will have around 70 by the end of spring

go here and you will find out if USC is requesting spring grades from you:

you have to create a logon. the pw is emailed to you. This site has lots of good personal info though.

I've got a question, I know that USC says that we should hear by June 1st but what about those of us that received the request for spring grades because the letter says that they want the grades by June 30th. So does that mean their willing to wait until almost June to make their decision?

Hi Student4u, I wonder if I know you!!! That would be funny! Did you get in too?

Domino- the packet has a large crimson folder, a certificate of admission, my acceptance letter, details about my major and entry level, a postcard to withdraw my admission (which I already tore up), an envelope to send my $300, and a guide to completing admission.

My stats- Well, dunno what else to say besides a 3.78 GPA, never took the SAT, I had some great rec letters, I'm a Veteran of the Armed Forces (USCG five years), and I wrote a pretty good essay, but I'm biased of course ;)

hi jobu, no i'm still waiting for my decision. what's your major? mine is polysci.

I'm majoring in Business Admin, emphasis on mgmt & finance. Are you mostly a day or night student. I'm for the most part a night schooler, last semester I took 18 units, this one 11 (with one during my lunch break!), wouldn't that be crazy if you were in one of my classes?!

hey, i wouldn't be too suprised, it truly is a small world. i have 1 night class, history 101, but mostly i'm there during the day. name me some teachers you've had or have.

Right now I have Carter, Nichols, Flagan, last semester is harder to remember :)

I know 5 people trying to get in from GCC, are you m/f?

i'm a guy.........
