I'm hoping to transfer into USC as a junior and just started cc right now. I want to transfer after 2 years to save money because USC is a hell of a lot of money. I started prereqs and should get em done in 2 years or less. I was just wondering if high school records and SAT scores take a big part in admissions after 2 years of cc work because my high school GPA (2.9) and SAT's scores (1000) weren't too great. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

high school grades arent looked at it.

Will low SAT scores affect me at all though?

Are you positive that high school records arent looked at because they send a request to your high school for a transcript right?

that is if you did not complete 24 credits....i think? check the admission page.

trojanman1, if you have the 60 semester/90 quarter units to transfer as a junior, then high school does not matter whatsoever. You could have never gone to high school for all they care.

Also, I am very much like you. When I applied to my 7 schools (Caltech, USC, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, Cal Poly Pomona, and CSUN) as a high school senior, I had a 2.9 GPA and 1090 SAT I, 650 W 550 M 520 Bio SAT II, and 25 ACT test scores. I got rejected to 5 of the 7 to which I applied (though the final number of schools came out to like 9-11), and picked Pasadena City College over the others, I'm sure you'll be able to easily guess which ones. Hmmmmm, I just started community college 2 weeks ago and am hoping to be able to transfer to either UCB, Stanford, or Caltech currently. This means that I hope to get as close to a 4.0 GPA as possible. That is all that matters, your college GPA, ECs, and your essays...

Which community college do you go to?
