I am blessed to be stuck with a VERY difficult decision. I am completely torn between these choice, and I have also seen a few other threads with others stuck between these same two choices!

I would just love some feedback from alums or outside sources, because many people that I talk to have a bias.

Here's my deal: I am very undecided major-wise. I can see myself going a million different directions for my career (from english to economics to art to marketing, I have no idea!). That is what originally was so appealing about USC for me: the chance to explore. I'm not sure if Georgetown offers as much exploration, any input?

I also am from a very small school; a huge school like USC is pretty terrifying. I also really did not want to end up in LA (I'm from Hawaii , and was kind of interested in experiencing something different, plus smog and city life isn't appealing to me). However, I have relatives in SoCal, and none on the East Coast (would I be able to handle the cold?). I also got around $16,000 in merit aid to USC, and will probably not receive that much finaid from Georgetown (though I really don't want this decision to be about the money). Socially, I want a school that is a good mix of fun and schoolwork. I'm not sure how competitive Gtown is, I've heard that sometimes it gets intense, is this true? What about USC? Can I handle it? Someone without a lot of crazy partying experience, but who is looking to branch out, would I enjoy EITHER school's social scene? I don't want a boring college experience, but I don't want to be too intimidated.

Also, for my future, which school honestly carries more weight in the workforce? I know it often depends on the degree, but in general? I considered them equal in prestige, but many people are telling me otherwise (it seems in Hawaii, Georgetown is considered more prestigious). I know that prestige shouldn't matter, but it's worth taking into consideration.

As far as my biased sources, my mother is from SoCal and would love for me to go to USC, but my father is pushing for Georgetown. Because I'm from a small school, no one has gotten accepted to Georgetown before, so my college counselor and teachers are pushing for me to go there.

I visited both campuses over the summer, and I remember loving the energy at both.

I am very torn! I just wish I could spend a few weeks at both schools before committing, but obviously the flight out to either location is expensive and difficult when I'm stuck out in the middle of the Pacific!

Thanks for any input, all is appreciated :)
