IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP!!GTOWN or USC??

Hello… I really need all the advice I can get.!
So well, I’ve been looking forward to go to USC for months now and was sooo excited about living in L.A and going through all that amazing college experience the university offers as well as an excellent business department and great connections..e.tc…(marshall)
UNTIL, I got Georgetown’s acceptance… And now… I JUST DON’T KOW WHAT TO THINK ANYMORE. So pple, pleasssse I really need your help.
Should I choose Georgetown over USC?
I know that in terms of “prestige” Georgetown ranks way much higher. but really is it worth turning down a college that not only offers good academics but a “better” experience overall (i.e USC, SOCAL WEATHER, “the Trojan family”, marshall’s connections, internships, an extremely diverse school…)All these factors got me so excited at just the thought of being part of it all!).
Since I do not currently live I the US, I thought you could give me some better advice since you all know more about the reputation of both schools…
(uschicka, in case u’r reading this…I know this has been my 100000th question and I’m still hesitating!!) 
The thing is, I’d really love to go to usc, and live in L.A and all (and I AM concerned about academia too seriously!!) and I just consider undergrad education being the same pretty much everywhere (or NOT??) so would prefer USC overall..but I don’t want to let my parents down because they’d rather have me going to Georgetown…
But in the end..ITS MY DECISION…
SO I need your help pple! GTWON?? USC?? Where?! What do u think?

I think USC. Both schools are good and ranked fairly high, so you would't be giving up a superior education at one to go to the other. If USC seems where you will feel most comfortable (weather does indeed make I difference, atleast I feel that way) then by all means go to USC. Your decision is not necessarily which school provides the better education (because they're both good schools), but which environment you feel you will suceed in. I am a little biased because I'm going to USC next year...

Hi! :)

I am also trying to choose between the two schools, though I am leaning toward Georgetown. The only real reason that I'm leaning toward Georgetown though is it's out of state (I'm a Californian) and I have been wanting to get out of here for so long. Honestly, if I didn't live in California, I'd probably choose USC. I know this doesn't give you much information, but I'd just thought I'd share my similar situation. :)

I would choose USC mainly because of your major. Marshall is rank number 9 in the country in business. I think MSB rank somewhere is the 20's. Like you said, USC also bring the best connection for internship and jobs.

thank u guys that's really what I wanted to hear! Because everytime I tell someone that I'm thinking about turning down Gtwon for usc, they're like "are you out of your mind?!", your turning down one of the nation's best schools for usc?! (blablabla).. Oh well...I guess I am..(although I still need to think about it))...(And yes lobsta, weather is indeed a problem for me id prefer sunny california in terms of weather thats for sure!).
And MellonCollie, let me know when you decide!

Actually, according to the ratings, Georgetown is only ranked a few spots above USC. Choose the place where you would see yourself living for the next 4 years rather than just by name recognition.

pick usc!!!!!!!!!

if you're going into business... choose usc...

this coming from an incoming ucla bruin =)

USC - More opportunites should you change your major, and good ones too!

Choose Georgetown if you want employment with the government. Check on an earlier post where me and afterhours go at it about USC's after grad employment prospects.
