USC vs LMU

I have been accepted to both USC and LMU as a transfer student with the major of Human Health and Sciences. I am having difficulty deciding between the two. LMU has a better location and smaller, while USC is much more exciting and has “a better name”. Would one be easier finding friends as a transfer? What should I do!!!

I don’t see either as having an advantage to making friends as a transfer. In college you’re bumping into new people all the time even if they’ve been there just as long as you have. If you have enough in common with them, you spend time together and become friends.

Where you should go is a matter of preference. Personally I would prefer the LMU package, it’s size, and it’s location.

They are so different. Have you been to either? Driving through the loop of LMU campus is nothing like USC. Google map it if you haven’t been. Mine had a strong reaction to that campus and we went through it several times - I couldn’t get them to like it (they were giving us lots of money so I was hoping they’d like it). But lots of kids love it there. Look at the big picture and decide what you want - a bigger or smaller environment. That’s a personal preference. Reading between the lines it seems that you prefer LMU, if so, then go for it!
