USC Vs. UCLA

I'm looking into applying to either USC or UCLA. I'm having trouble figuring out what classes I should exactly take.
I'm in a Computer Technology major with a degree in Associate in Applied Science.
I know I will have to take another English and Math class. So, I'm trying to figure out how to do that
because it's not required for me to do so on my degree plan. Any advice?

Also, I want to minor in acting and have a degree in Animation when I transfer.
I'm trying to figure out the best school for the both of these programs and so far
I'm interested in attending USC.

Can you give me an idea of which school is better and why?
I will have almost to 30 credits by the time I will apply.
I currently do not know my GPA as of now which is really important. Yes, I am a Freshmen.
Attending a 2-year school out of state.

Thanks.

An Associates Degree usually requires 60 units. You will want to transfer in as a Junior. UCLA is generally considered a better school for Theatre, USC for Cinema. However, USC has an excellent reputation for games (animation + computer science). UCLA is more likely to give more credit for Community College courses. Why not apply to both? If you get in at both, you can take in your transcripts, course syllabi (keep all syllabi, text information, and tests), etc. to be assessed for transfer credits, and see where you stand with each. You probably would do better to complete 2 years (60 units) at the community college.
