I am a junior transfer that got accepted to both USC and UCSB. While I got into the Communication major at UCSB, I didn’t at USC. Instead, USC admitted me as a International Relations (Global Business) major.
I am hoping to pursue a career in marketing, especially with a global company, and I know that USC offers Global marketing as part of the cirruculum for the IR (global business) major, as well as Marketing as a minor.
I am nervous that while I got into my major at UCSB, it doesn’t really hold the prestige or connections USC has, and I’m worried that the communication major is more “research based”… If anyone has any advice or input on which school would be best suited for my major/career path, what each campus is like, and the differences between the two, please let me know!!
