USC vs UCSD

<p>I've been accepted to both these colleges, and have to make the choice now. I'm a computer engineering major at ucsd, and computer engineering and computer science at usc.</p>

<p>Assuming I'll be paying about the same thing, does one have a distinct advantage in this area over the other? I'd love to hear any other insights or considerations you have about either of these schools.</p>

<p>As a side-note, I've been waitlisted at Harvey Mudd, and will pretty certainly go there if I'm accepted.</p>

<p>According to the rankings (which is the “topped” thread) the two are pretty much tied.</p>

<p>IMO, UCSD takes the cake for two reasons; 1) it’s not in Compton and 2) I loathe the Trojans.</p>

<p>However, if you can see yourself as a USC fan and don’t mind living in the ghetto USC might be your school.</p>

<p>If you are more into surfing, go to UCSD.</p>
