usc?

hey i haven't heard from usc yet. i was wondering if i had a chance at all. my gpa is only a 3.6 but i improved each semester of high school and they said they take that into account on the website. my sat's are low too- like a 1820. but the thing is that i come from a private high school. and i'm a professional dancer (usc is all artsy so i hope this scores major points). and i got like 3 really good teacher recs when you only need 1.

hospital volunteer- 3 yrs
swim team- 3 yrs (1 yr on varsity)
classical dancer - 10 years and went pro 2 yrs ago
bio major

is that enough to give me at least a chance to get in? i also took a tour of the campus. thanks for the help in advance

I think you have a chance, but it isn't super. Last year the average accepted student had a 3.8, average enrolled 3.7. Your SATs are also slightly below average for the accepted students.

However . . .

1) You show an upward trend
2) There are many subjecteive things (like your recs) that will come into play

I can't tell you for sure, I know your stats are slightly below average for the admitted student (last year), but I think you have a chance.

thanks soo much for actually answering. i posted this like 3 times in three different places and no one bothers to answer.

Have you posted your question in the USC Forum?
