thanks a lot my friend!

Did any of you guys hear anything new on or from USC, or still hanging in there?

still hanging in there!

On the SIR thing, just wanted to make this clear. SIGN a SIR for a UC JUST INCASE. Because if you dont, u will not be admitted. IF you make USC then you will basically juss need to withdraw ur SIR and lose your deposit. Thats wat i was told. If you dont sign then you may not be able to go to the skool that accepted you. Im pretty sure thats wat you are supposed to do.

Hey, do you guys think USC will follow how it operates for freshman- sending out mass mid yr requests for borderline applicants? I am really counting on this, because I wanna show the drastic improvement from last semester, which I bombed (3.21).

When I sent in my transcripts to USC, i only had 38 transferable units and it did NOT include my fall '04 or winter '05 grades. Should i notify them of my grades or are they going to ask us like the UC's did? does anyone know, anyone else in the same position?

Anybody? Anybody at all?

sure .

sure what?

They are sending them out in June because students applying as for transfer as a freshman won't have over thirty units yet. At my transfer meeting with the university, they said I wouldn't find out until mid-June because I am only a freshman.

weren't freshmen applicants notified of their status in April?

Yes, high school seniors who applied found out in April. If you are a freshman in college now, and you won't finish the required 30 units until then end of the Spring semester, then you should find out mid-June.

o ok, a college freshman. But just to let u know, i've read from their website that if you have fewer than 30 units, they will focus primarily on your high school records and SAT

nah thats wrong. i called them. %75 focus on college work even for freshmen. that's why they almost always request second semester grades.

easttowest, let me ask you something. When i submitted my application along with my transcript, it didn't include my fall '04 or winter '05 grades. Are they going to ask me to notify them or is it up to me to let them know?

I will have accumulated 32 units by the end of the Spring semester. Most of the people who have under 30 have a hard time getting in. The admissions lady I talked to said that they receive around 6,000 applicants, but they usually "throw out" almost have because they are not considered "serious applicants."

fresno trojan, who they they throw out? the applicants with less than 30 units you mean?
