Do you not see “We have calculated your eligibility for financial aid…”?

@Bouncer I did; I think GamerGal27 had it too, but then everyone posted saying that they had it too - so I didn’t want to get my hopes up too high. I’m still super nervous over my previous double unknowns.

The language “We have calculated your eligibility…” appears to not be variable in the code. In other words, everyone must have it. But the class and major (now hidden) are variable - and based upon data that is being pulled in from a different location.

^bingo

I mean it does say “display:none;”, but I’ve only had one year of comp sci in sophomore year, so I don’t know how much effect (if any) it has

Obviously class and major are pulled in from a different location… Your application$

The point is that the code is looking to see if the class and major (in the different location) have values. If so they are displayed. Consequently, if they don’t have values, they are shown as unknown. Again, all of this has now been hidden. But it’s hard to believe that unknown/unknown (when these fields were visible yesterday), implied good news.

well goodbye 2 my hopes n dreams

@loljk1123 Yep, that’s my sentiment lol.

These glitches are so exasperating. When my S2 was applying 3 years ago, UC Berkeley had a glitch and you could literally type in any name into a search field on a webpage and if they were going to be admitted, there name would appear as a student. So kids could type in their own name or any of their friends or classmates and learn their private decisions right then and there. Talk about a mistake!

The glitch could still be a weird glitch guys! Or it could be ppl receiving a scholarship… I don’t think we should lose hope uet

I’m still holding on to their tweet! I can’t believe they would lie to us like that!!

@Calculusfan I will literally be heartbroken if I get rejected (side effect of loving a college too much, the heartbreak is even worse when they reject you)…still trying to maintain a little hope, but things aren’t looking well for me (I’m more of a pessimist). I even wrote myself a rejection letter from USC just to soften the coming blow…I think I’m crazy lol.

Nope. I am not giving up hope because they could have still been inputting the data in that “other source” when they caught on we could see what is going on. They simply can’t input everyone’s information simultaneously. I also feel this may be right considering @friedfishchen was accepted and sees the same thing. [-O< [-O<

@Gr8TrnRob1903 LOL! I wish I was accepted! I have been anxiously pulling my hair out these past few days trying to read the tea leaves to see if I am in or not I too am resting on the hope that they were inputting the information slowly and not instantaneously…and since this is also FA.

@Gr8TrnRob1903
Haha I think you were referring to my post-- in that case, I was posting about the page source, which should be the same for all applicants.

USC wouldn’t input decisions individually. They’re connected to a database with all the decisions so all inputs are done at the same time. I guess people with Unknown/Unknown are rejections. I’m pretty sure that USC is lying in its tweet.

Holy Smokes!! @Friedfishchen I am so sorry. we should sit and wring our hands together it seems…I am losing it. because it was really @dragonflymusic that posted they were accepted and had the same info. (they said it to you.)

@Bouncer If so, I guess I need to prepare myself for Thursday or Friday’s small envelope

@Gr8TrnRob1903 Yeah, I am losing it (literally) right now too, I really wish I didn’t know about this speculation…but at the same time at least it is preparing me for my small white envelope on Th/Fri?

how long do you think it will take for the envelope to arrive to the west coast (around NYC)? and yeah i love USC so much i could die rn thinking i’m going to get rejected. i actually thought i had a good chance with a 2250 and editor in chief of newspaper for a journalism major. oh well :(
