USConnect question/speculation?

@loljk1123
Priority mail is 3-5 days, so at most it’ll arrive on Monday.

@loljk1123 I thought I had a good chance too w/ NMF and a couple of other things…even put USC as first choice for NMSF all the way back in October…but I guess it was not enough.

So if I didn’t see my financial aid status in time (I found out about the glitch too late), is there any code for me to look for on the page source indicating acceptance or not? Or have they hidden it well, and only those who saw before will know in advance (assuming all this speculation is correct)?

Priority mail is 1-3 days. <a href=“Priority Mail Delivery Map | USPS”>https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/</a></p>

@cjcow56 Not that I know of I think…we found some lines that we thought could mean it but it turns out everyone probably has it…my greatest wish right now is that this is all speculation. That would be a godsend.

I saw unknown/unknown too…
Applied to SCA.
So weird, USC was in my my top 2 choices along with NYU, for film. And ever since application season I told myself I would only get into one. A week ago when I saw a good sign on NYU’s portal that I’d been admitted to Tisch, it sorta clicked I wasn’t gonna get into USC lol.

I regret to say, but I probably would’ve preferred a USC acceptance as opposed to NYU.

I’m pretty positive that unknown/unknown meant something and USC is lying. I could tell by how the tweet was worded. It just seemed off…

Oops, it’s First Class mail. My bad!

Without substantial merit scholarship, to drop the tuition to at least 30K - don’t even see the point of waiting for decision - cant pay for UCS :frowning:

Oops USC

The tweet from USC Admissions said they would mail the letters ON 3/26 and they would post results BY 3/29. My thinking is they are going to batch load everything on 3/27 to make sure they have a week day to work on any computer problems (that hopefully won’t occur). If this is the case, we could see the info by Friday. So, @loljk1123, you could get the answer this week electronically.

Someone should tweet them why they took it down, and why the majority of applicants had unknown/unknown.
Also the people who had their major and class seemed like they had high stats, or were expecting acceptances, or were already accepted with a merit-scholarship.

kerning – the majority of USC applicants are rejected, that’s why

@Gr8TrnRob1903 Do you think that would allow a small inkling of hope that they are perhaps going to continually update? I have one small voice inside of me still hoping for the best, but it’s already being shouted out.

Well, I had unknown and unknown and everyone from my large school with my stats and worse has been accepted in previous years…

I have a hunch the ppl who got it will get smaller scholarships, like deans, etc.

@Calculusfan That is basically my small hope/wish. PLEASE let it be, i hope!!! :((

If it helps reassure you guys at all, I had my major listed, but I considered USC a bit of a reach with only a 30 ACT. So perhaps it is just random. I’m curious though the general stats of those who did/didn’t have their major listed, to see if we can possibly correlate it to mean anything?

Also, how do we know majority of ppl had unknown/unknown…?

also i didn’t apply for FA does that give me a chance still ???

@Calculusfan
Think of this forum as a small, but biased, sample. USC’s acceptance rate is 20%, and since CC is self-selecting, we can expect maybe 40% accepted. Based on the posts so far, that seems about right.
Next, Dean’s has already been given out, so those smaller scholarships (if even) would have to be the University Scholarships.
