USConnect question/speculation?

mail just came and nothing in northern Cal.

well, I was thinking that if they put that on the truck at 5ish, would it actually get processed and out the post office door yesterday? Maybe we are a day behind and need to count tomorrow as day one. SIGH!!!

According to the Priority Mail map that someone linked to only a small region of SoCal should arrive by the first day (Northern California is in the “2 days” region). So let’s still holdout for a decision from someone in Southern California…

Edit: here’s the link <a href=“Priority Mail Delivery Map | USPS”>https://www.usps.com/priority-mail/map/</a> (USC’s zip code 90089)

Changed to “Acted on”.
Last name starts with A.

Did anyone get anything yet? Well, I suppose everyone is still in school since it is quite early in S. Cal.

Does USC send acceptance AND rejection letters out together? Only just now was my status updated; would that mean I got rejected or anything?

Nothing for SoCal yet.

Just got my admissions packet in the mail!

@Gr8TrnRob1903 - So far we have three southern California posters reporting that acceptance packages have arrived in their mailboxes: nkmscpa, Angsty and sbrown123. No reports of rejections yet.

On the applicant thread, people from so cal are posting.

CONGRATULATIONS @itsapillowpet ! Make that FOUR posters reporting acceptance packages in southern California! :)

@friedfishchen I believe all decisions, accept and reject, were mailed yesterday. I would not worry that you did not note the change until now. It probably doesn’t mean anything. Are you a 1, 2, or 3 day Priority Mail location?

From what I understand, rejections go out 1st class mail (as opposed to Priority Mail) and that can take more days to deliver. Did I understand this correctly?

@Gr8TrnRob1903 I’m a 2-day priority mail; I live in NY! If I don’t get anything tomorrow, I’m probably rejected. Sorry for being so depressing :frowning: – it’s just I’ve been in love w/ USC for a year, and only to find out signs like “unknown/unknown” did not bear good news just accentuated my feeling of a denial.

Me too. Our mail arrives about 3pm central time. TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK… I just can’t think about it or I may roll into a ball and wither. LOL

@friedfish
I live in NY as well (nyc), so I can expect it tomorrow as well’? I get NYU’s decision tomorrow too.
Damn. this last week has made me want to kill myself ._.

My son finally got the “acted upon” message.

I had heard that rejections go out first class and acceptances priority, but strangely, I thought USC tweeted that the admissions offers had all just been mailed out first class mail. Not sure which is faster and truthfully at this point it really doesn’t matter. Just would like to see the letter so we can either start planning or take that one off the list of considerations.

@sfxchris NYC here too (which hs are you?)…I’m breaking down in real life right now because I’ve basically gotten rejected everywhere…really, really want USC but the speculation pointed in the opposite direction…good luck to you though!!

here’s their tweet:
