USConnect question/speculation?

I can’t find any info stating that Dornsife admits by major.

I applied to Viterbi and had my first choice (industrial and systems) listed as well. I’m from the Midwest.

That is what I was wondering too. Now does anyone have SCA or SDA unknown unknown?

@Calculusfan
I was admitted to Dornsife as a neuroscience major…

Unless you applied undecided or were rejected by your two majors but still admitted to USC, you should have a major.

I think you’ll find that SCA and many of the other art schools admit by major too.

If you go to usconnect-financial aid- and right click and select view page source, then search for “major or class” you can see this

replace the stars with imgur. com

this site is being dumb and is blocking the pictures

@sagar96, mine say exactly what your pictures say. not feeling good about it.

Class:
Major:

That still doesn’t show anything except for the majors being hidden

What is it of? I can’t see it on my pjone

Hmmm… @sagar96, looks pretty cool, but I was always bad at CompSci. What does it mean?

anyone have their annenberg major listed ???

@sagar96 this is exactly what I was thinking, IT just changed those two fields to “hidden”.

Can someone who got accepted (like a scholarship recipient) check out their page source for the financial aid? (I think you click the status and then right click page source it…)

hmmmmmmmmm

@friedfishchen
No worries, I’ve been accepted and have the exact same thing. At this point, we don’t know what each person’s “classVal” or “majorVal” is (each is a value that is specific to each applicant), so I wouldn’t worry about the code of the page source.

Well they just hid whatever was there before, whether it was a hint, a glitch, a partial update.

I am hoping (very much) that it was a glitch, a partial update, or a hint that hadn’t been finished.
I’ve been expecting a small envelope since the afternoon that this thread was posted!

It makes sense to hide it instead of remove the whole function. Removing the function could take days depending on how integrated it is into the system, hiding it takes seconds. In a quick fix that’s what they would do - so dont assume that it still has any meaning, it could just be because they are putting it off until everything goes out officially.

On that same page, using Page Source, I see this. It is also set to not display (yet?):

<div id=“dialog” title=“New Financial Aid Summary” style=“display:none;”>

@GamerGal27
Yay!! Sounds like good news!

@Gamergal27, I just saw that on mine as well

All revisions to your Financial Aid Summary will be posted online. A notification will be sent to
your USC e-mail account any time a change is posted.

If an adjustment results in a decrease to your loan eligibility, the Financial Aid Office will reduce
your future disbursement(s), or we may return previously disbursed funds, which may result in a charge
to your USC student account. Occasionally, receipt of additional awards may reduce your eligibility for the University Grant.
