ok, so I applied via commonapp to the business school for business management…when I check the portal it says open option arts and sciences. Is it possible I got in but at the arts and sciences department and not the business school?

I’m almost positive they put all the freshman in the same “school” because it clarifies on the page that since it’s not necessary to declare a major until sophomore year they don’t get clarify each student’s specific major or school yet.

On another note, for the students that have the “committee review” note or whatever for the application status in the Applicant tab, you may be accepted. Instead of the Applicant tab on the portal, click on the Admitted tab next to it and it will say congratulations and stuff (that’s what my portal shows). If there’s no admitted tab then I guess you should just keep checking for it to update your admission decision.

Has anyone received an admissions packet without a tab for admission appearing? I have no change and will be very surprised if I don’t get in.

Also, where are those accepted located? I am on the East coast

trojan13: we are on the East Coast too, and we haven’t received anything. Nor, can we see anything on our portal.

East Coast as well, though I’ll be pleasantly surprised if I’m accepted. Nothing on the portal for me yet, and obviously we can expect our snail mail a bit later than most. I hope it doesn’t take too long!

Is there anyone who didn’t have a tab as of yesterday who now does? Thank you!

Okay so it’s February 25th and I still haven’t heard anything!!

Oh and my application just says complete and ready for review. It never said it was being reviewed. This is bugging me.

Eschloss- mine also says complete/ready for review. I called the admissions office today and they said that is normal and there isn’t a difference between committee and that status

trojan13- did they give you any sort of time frame for a decision when you called? I’m wondering if they’re releasing decisions in batches every-so-often, or constantly on an individual bases.

They said it’s completely random and based upon your personal situation. It wasn’t as informative of an answer as I would have liked. I want to know if I should constantly be refreshing my portal or checking back once a week!

Exactly what I’m thinking! I’m going crazy with waiting and hearing everyone else’s decisions. I’m also wondering if they’re just rolling out acceptances and waiting until the end for rejections, or mixing the rejections in. I guess we’ll find out soon!

Saw on my portal yesterday that I’ve been accepted and received an invite to apply for the Honor’s Program. Excited to get the official letter in the mail now!

Has anyone received anything or heard anything about the Circle of Excellence (Diversity) Scholarship that is available to freshman? I know it can cover up to full tuition and is picked by the admissions office when you apply. I was just wondering if anybody has recieved a letter or notification that they were awarded it?

Trojan13- thanks good to know. I also called today and told a lady that I thought decisions were going out on feb. 25th and she said they’re just trickling out. I also said that I heard some students were getting decisions in the mail and some online and asked which should I expect and she said either one could come first and to check both. So… Not very helpful. I was really looking foreword of hearing from usd today.

Is there anyone who has been accepted on the East coast? Based on my observations everyone I have seen accepted is from the California/ Nevada area

My daughters portal does not show the scholarship, she received that in the mail.

We are in Chicago and my son got his online acceptance on Thursday, and he received a packet in the mail on Saturday. The portal did not contain any scholarship info, the packet did.

I received my acceptance in the mail today, (I live in the SF Bay Area) although I found out online last Friday. So if you haven’t gotten your envelopes yet, don’t fret! They’ll be arriving soon!
