Use of Italics in CA essay

Has anyone used italics in the CA essay and had it appear presentable? If so, how?

bump + 10 characters.

If you figure it out, you might be the first. Report back and let us know.

Yeah, it has come out as slightly larger in the preview, almost like a heading. Is this a bug, or just the way italics looks?

I was using some italics in a couple of my essays and I got that weird look too. I decided against using the italics because it didn’t want to risk it ruining my essay.

I used italics in two of my essays. They looked a little weird but I wouldnt sweat it.

“If you figure it out, you might be the first. Report back and let us know.”

I don’t think it’s possible.

It’s unfortunate for the users of the CA, both writers and readers.

Yep, same deal here. The italicized words were just a bit larger, making them look amateurish and funky. Ended up NOT using italics, which really hurt two sentences.

Funny, our italics look super tiny in the preview. I guess no one can win. I am sure ac’s will realize it is the common app and not ding anyone for it.

I kept my italics, because they were so cricial to my essay and couldn’t risk losing them. For the pdf preview…well. I’m just hoping colleges would recognize the bug and understand the funky look.
