Just major in engineering and you will get a job guaranteed. You could also be a business major, but there is little to no respect for business graduates. It is a well known fact that business has the lightest workload. Many recruiters cite this as one of the reasons they have little to no respect for business majors.

lakernation1,
- “Just major in engineering and you will get a job guaranteed.”

Is this some kind of a joke that I do not get?

2) "Many recruiters cite this as one of the reasons they have little to no respect for business majors. "

lol…those recruiters have business degrees themselves. In addition, the respect is based on who you are, as a person, and what have you accomplished–not on a degree you possess.

Hmmm, why do many recruiters still recruit business major, just hire the engineering majors to do everything then.

yeah those Wharton/Sloan/McDonough/Stern guys are all homeless bums, right?

And those engineering jobs aren’t getting shipped to India. Not even one.

Why do people assume that every person going to college wants to get the most “secure” or highest paid job? Sure in some cases engineering majors may have a more lucrative career, and in some cases business majors have a better career. Posting something like this is just ridiculous, any person should pursue a major/field that they’ll enjoy working in. There’s no need for any stupid remarks between majors. Especially with such immature arguments as “engineers are guaranteed jobs.” Grow the hell up and worry about yourself
