business major = weak and stupid?

This seems to be the general consensus; at least at my work and on this forum. Is there any truth to this?

No.......................Not at any good school.

Sure, there is some truth to it.

Accounting is far from weak...and definitely far from stupid. If you can maintain a 4.0 in upper-level accounting classes, you're smarter than most.

Agreed, Accounting is far from weak, can't say the same for other business majors though.

i just had a conversation with a math major who felt business wasn't a real major and that it had no real jobs. I couldn't take him away from thinking that as much as i said.

He will end up driving a cab and playing video games into the night. Obviously he has no grasp of the real world.

I find it funny business majors making fun of intellgence and reputation of math students.

Why not try getting 4.0 in upper year maths? Accounting, pffft. You're a genius if you can even score 20% on a upper year math course, let alone 4.0.

I'm hoping business is going to be easy, bc I'd rather have more time to do other things....parties, going to football games, intramurals, hanging out at the beach, and hanging out with friends.

I don't want my whole college experience to be soley about studying and classes.

Anyways, atleast with business a person is able to become successful and find a good job.

A math major is just going to end up becoming a teacher.

Lol bunch of haters pretending accounting is difficult.

Accountants are in high demand and so are math majors.

nice contradicting statements there

people do not listen to abcboy as he isnt even a math major

It was 3am, i meant the opposite, pretending accounting is not difficult.

well you really need to work on that then becuase your point wasnt in any way correlated with what you wrote

southpasdena, no need to get inseucre.

please explain

Yes, abcboy is not a math major so he doesn't really have any information to substantiate his claims; however, many here are accounting majors that can attest to the difficulty of upper-level accounting classes.

Haha I'm having trouble even with intro level accounting :P

that isnt a good sign
