My son just completed the pitt apllication . He still needs to have his transcript and sat scores to be sent in . Pitt does not want recommendations , correct ? Is there anything else that his high school needs to send ? His transcript will be requested though parchment . Where does he get his username and password from to check application status? Also, he will be taking sat this month . Should he wait to send in his scores ? Thanks
Yes, please do not send any letters of recommendation. We only ask for: completed online application, Self-Reported Academic Record or transcript, SAT/ACT scores, responses to short answer questions (optional), and the application fee.
The username and password come via email from Pitt’s Technology Help Desk and it usually takes a few business days.
He can send in his new SAT scores as soon as he gets them. Just indicate on the application when he is taking it again and our admissions committee will know it’s coming!

It typically takes 3-6 weeks to review an application and inform an applicant of our decision. Good luck!
