Username = Wellesley ID Number?

I’m filling out Wellesley’s dependent student verification form now, which asks for my Wellesley ID number. None of the emails from Wellesley point to any specific ID other than the username that I use to log in to their portal, so should I just write down that username (it’s in the form “B20XXXXXX” with the Xs as numbers)?

I saw on another thread from 2010 (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/wellesley-college/1054137-how-to-get-a-wellesley-id-number.html) that we might not have it yet, but I just wanted to check if that is really the case. Their hints page talks about the student ID number like the username (http://www.wellesley.edu/sfs/apply/hints), so I’m not sure if I should put the username, leave it blank, or write something else entirely.

Yeah, we had the same question. I just put that number with 3 question marks and sent it off.

We also used the username (actually a number they originally sent).

Thanks to you both. I’ll just put the B20… number, then. Even if it’s wrong, hopefully enough of us will have done it with that username for them to figure it out.

I’m pretty sure that the verification form is filled out by all Wellesley students every year, not just incoming frosh. When you matriculate at Wellesley you get the official Wellesley ID. We don’t have an ID yet so leaving it blank is probably the way to go.
