I really need someone's help if possible please. I recently finished my last class for my AA at the College of Central Florida for the Summer A term. I'm planning on transferring to USF for their College of Education in the fall, but upon visiting for orientation I ran into a problem. The college that I just finished up with won't confer my degree until all summer sessions are over (around August 7th or so) and the deadline to apply to the college of education is August 1st. When I talked to someone at the orientation, he told me that there is a possible way to to get official transcripts to them because he's had students in the past do it in this situation, but he wasn't sure how. Does anyone know any way whatsoever to get this done? I'm really trying to avoid waiting that extra 5 or 6 months for the spring semester.

Visit the registrar’s office of your current school on Monday and discuss the problem. While many schools have a Summer A/B or Summer 1/2, and do not consider the semester to be over until the entire summer term has ended, there has to be a mechanism for the school releasing grades. You are not the first student to encounter this problem. Go in person and discuss.

Another approach is to send a transcript with all grades EXCEPT summer and then discuss with USF admissions about an unofficial transcript for the summer grades until the grades become official.

Thank you very much for the response. I am definitely going to to the registrars office to talk to the Monday so hopefully they’ll be able to figure something out for me. I’m also certain that this has happened to other people too, well according to the person that I talked to at USF, but I was just wondering if anyone on this forum had experienced or know someone that has experienced this already.
