Using a four year university for just two years

I’ve been accepted into a four year university that is offering nearly a full ride, yet I’m not that enthusiastic about the school. Would it be wise to go to this school for two years before attending another school that is less affordable? It’d be like using the first university as a community college. Let me know your thoughts, thank you!

Lots of students transfer, and plenty of students start at one place thinking ahead to transfer out in a year or two. There is nothing wrong woth this plan.

However, transferring does pose its own challenges as there often isn’t much aid for transfer students, often not all of the credits earned transfer, sometimes the student does not get admitted to any of the places that they want to attend, and if the student does get in, the student needs to adapt to a whole new community. Also some students do not make much of an effort to fit in or enjoy their time at the first place because they are so focused on waiting until they transfer to their “real” college. This can make the first two years pretty miserable.
