sparkledust- what do you run? I would love to run for Navy, it's been my dream for awhile, just this year my coach decided to throw me in a middle distance race during indoor season. I instantly fell in love, so I'm going to try to run mid-distance for Navy, next year I plan on running at NAPS

I don't know, I know the high school SpiderMD played at is the worst out of 5 or so in the town, and that they have only won like 5 games in the last 4 years.

On the other hand, he did tear up the CFA for the application, and if I had to pick a fight with someone, it wouldn't be with him.

Oh SpiderMD, you know I'm just pulling your chain and enstilling the fact that Monterey will always be better than LHS, as per the spurs game record which is currently at 36-9-1, in favor of the mighty Plainsmen!

WiScOnSiNaVy2010 - I run the 400, 200, 800, and all the relays, but the 4x1. I also do long jump and pole vault, but I'm no good at either. My soon to be coach at the academy will put me in it next year though. When I went to the academy in feb. the girls on the track team said at NAPS the team is as big as 6 people. I was fortunate to go to the army/navy game while I was there. I am also the state champion in KY for the 400 meter, and I hope to win again this year...

texas_falcon... ouch... yes yes, you're Peons were pretty good at football.

5 games in the last 4 years... More like 5 games in the last 3 years, because if I remember correctly we won at least 5 during my senior year (which would have been 4 seasons ago)

USNA football definitely likes to recruit out of Texas. We live in Highland Park(a suburb of Dallas) and the H.P. high school won the 4A state champs. I think three guys were recruited and one accepted his appointment. We moved to Texas from Virginia my son's senior year and we are amazed at this "religion" they call football. Watch "Friday Night Lights" and you get an idea! My son goes to Jesuit Prep which was the first team Permian played in the playoffs. He prefers to stick to swimming and water polo although he loves to cheer for NAVY Football! Sandiegodude's mom
