<p>Their rankings are fairly useless. Some of the things they look at are just plain dumb. Many of UConns classes at least in my own experience are at or maybe even about Yale's levels. Its a good school, but magazines don't really look too deeply into each school. They look more at names and money</p>
<p>I think uconn deserves to be in the top 60, but it takes time. Next year they are going to begin building the town they spoke so much about, and at least 5 new buildings on campus that should be finished within the next few years. Also, they finished the expansion to the student union, and it looks amazing. I complained earlier, but I realized you need to be patient. UConn ten years ago was like #38 for public schools, now it is #27, and has gotten as high as #23. I predict that UConn will be in the top 60 overall as well as top 20 for public by 2012. By 2020, if they stay on course, UConn should be among the top 15 publics, and perhaps top 50 in the nation.</p>
