USD has risen in the rankings, and UC Davis BIMSON is on the list for first time.

@cecilturtle, no problem. This is the year I should get the premium membership since my daughter will be a senior in the fall.

  1. Keep in mind that these are rankings for graduate programs. There are some universities that are very oriented towards graduate students and research. In some cases, this may mean they pay less attention to undergrad teaching.
  2. This table shows the huge variation in grad tuition prices. Some programs (such as Pitt) are outrageously expensive even for in-state students. For all of the undergrad students out there who are convinced they will become Nurse Practitioners, those prices may cause some re-consideration. There are also some universities that are extremely expensive for undergrads that offer more modest tuition prices for grad students.
  3. Most aid at the grad level is merit-based, not need-based. Federal loans for grad school are not subsidized by the federal government, and very little federal grants are available for grad school.
