Nursing

I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of schools with good nursing programs. I'm looking in the northeast US. Right now I'm looking at Case Western, UB, Duquesne, Pitt, and the University of Rochester, but any other suggestions would be great too!

Also look at Rutgers and Suny Binghamton. Both have very strong programs.

Georgetown

If you're competitive enough to get into Georgetown, then JHU should also be on your list. I think almost 20% of the class of Johns Hopkins graduates with a nursing degree.

If you are a looking at Pitt and Duquesne, you ought to look into Carlow. The Sisters of Mercy train some of the finest members of the nursing profession.

You might also want to look into WVU and Catholic University

University of Pennsylvania. One of the top 3 nursing schools in the country, with a curriculum that's well meshed with the other 3 undergraduate schools of a terrific Ivy League university. So not only do you get the top-ranked nursing education, but you can also take classes in the highly-ranked liberal arts departments of Penn's College of Arts and Sciences, its top-ranked Wharton School of business, and even its School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Plus, Penn's nursing school is located on the same relatively compact campus as all of Penn's other schools (including its top-ranked medical school), Penn's highly-ranked hospital, and its phenomenal medical research complex, and is literally right next door to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, ranked #1 in the US.

And the students in the nursing school are fully integrated into and part of Penn's undergraduate program and campus life, and all that entails.

It's really one of the best experiences and opportunities a nursing student could hope to find.
