UT Austin... Are only rejections sent out on March 1st?

I have noticed that a lot of out of state students with high stats have been accepted to UT Austin already. I am wondering how the admission process truly works. They say decisions are out by March 1st, does anyone receive a rejection before march 1st? or is that the date they basically notify everyone that got denied. I am also worried because I think my 7th semester grades will improve my chances but the semester doesn't end until January 29th..what if they already decide before then? And also, do the students who are more "on the edge" tend to hear back later? I know this is a ton of questions I'm just slightly stressed..

I think they’re sending them out randomly. I know a bunch of people who got in to Plan II when they applied before October 15th, and plenty of ridiculously smart people who have yet to receive their letters.

I’m in the same boat- wait patiently, my friend! I think it’s going out pretty randomly, though.
