Hello, I am a junior living in a well-to-do suburb in Texas and am considering UT due to practical and economic reasons.
I know about the multiple honors programs at UT, like the Business Honors Program, as well as the Turing Scholars Program for Computer Science.
Is it possible for me to enroll in the Business Honors and Turing Programs concurrently as a freshman in college? I am currently in AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, and Statistics AP and took AP Calculus BC, so math/science is my strong suit. Additionally I will have many AP classes down before graduation, allowing me to get credit for most prereqs:
AP English Lang
AP English Lit (next year)
AP Chem
AP Physics C
AP Bio (next year)
AP Macro + Micro (nxt year)
AP Stats
AP Calc BC
AP Comp Sci (next year)
AP Spanish Lang
AP Spanish Lit (next year)
AP U.S. Hist
AP World Hist
AP European Hist
AP Human Geography
Do any of you know whether it is legally or physically possible for me to enroll in more than 1 honors program at once?
Thanks for the help.
"Can I double major in CS and some other major if I join the Turing Scholars Honors Program?
Yes. We have students who are double-majoring in CS and other majors including Chemistry, Biology, Business, Math, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Plan II."

“The vast majority of BHP students double-major in a second business discipline, and a significant number of students also choose to study outside of the college in disciplines such as Plan II or pre-med, ensuring that our student body is home to future fashion designers and computer scientists as well as investment bankers and business owners.”

I know the links in the post above only answer whether you can double major not be in both honors programs. For BHP, you’ll have to choose business as your first choice major. I am not sure whether Turing has a similar requirement. That could be where the problem occurs.
Realistically, these programs are both very, very selective. The chances of someone getting into both are pretty small. If you find the BHP threads and the Turing threads, you’ll find that test scores, internships and leadership roles are what matters for BHP and test scores and CS electives, competitions and experience are important for Turing.
While it may be possible, it would not be easy for someone to get into both.
I have seen people get both Plan II and other honors programs.
Thanks for the help.
I’ll apply to the various programs, see which ones I make, and adapt my plans accordingly.
