UT Austin class of c/o 2022 admissions

They send you the available houses once they offer you a contract in May

Does anyone know when the next wave of decisions will be?

Looking at past years, I believe there will be one in January and one in February, usually around mid month.

Hey do the cns honors decisions come out in those same waves or do they come out on different days? I’ve already got my major so any idea when it may be released?

There’s a wave on the 19th of January (every 3rd Friday of every month) but I think that will be the last one for the priority applicant unless they release some on the 1st of February.

Just curious… is a 28 Act and 4.0 (top 14%) in state out of the question for full admittance into advertising? And does the school accept first and then the major or straight to major for admission decisions? Also has tons of ECs and Texas Boys State on profile.

He’s already in SMU, TCU and TAMU, but really wants UT.

@AggieMomhelp fingers crossed, lets hope! DD is hoping a 27/4.81/14% will get her to the finish line for a liberal arts major. But honestly…we know it is maybe a 1% chance for a full admissions offer. Would your son consider PACE or CAP?

@labegg Possibly. I thought UTDallas was under CAP but it’s not. That was a downer. Do you know why that is?

I would guess because UT offers UT-Arlington in that “neighborhood”. I too thought UT-D was a CAP school…maybe UT-D doesn’t want to be used as a stepping stone school?

I noticed average ACT at UT-D is a 28, so more competitive than most CAP schools. Maybe that’s why!

DD is leary of CAP, not sure how she feels about PACE. I’d say your sons current acceptance s are awesome! He will have a hard choice in the end! Good Luck!

Anyone heard from Plan II or LAH?

@antwaine How do you know they’ll be a wave then? From what I’ve heard there haven’t been any waves yet, just slow trickles…

@MaybeHarvard2022 I know several people that got in before break, but not recently. They should be reviewing and releasing decisions again in the next week or so.

My son’s application says it in review but his housing application is now available for him to apply-does that mean anything?

@texprep The housing application is always available for people to save their spots in line even before getting in, it’s always been there.

Hello guys! Can someone chance me? I changed my first major last minute and turned my application in literally 10 minutes before deadline so I’m really nervous. Plus kind of confused. Also it was really hard for me to make myself stand out doing what I could.

I’m an auto-admit but I’m really concerned about getting into CNS as a biology major. I had my 2nd major as petroleum engineering and I really don’t think I should have. I am:

  • Valedictorian (but only out of around ~69 students :frowning:
  • 4.464 GPA on a five point scale
  • NHS 2nd year, currently Treasurer
  • FBLA 3rd year, President, currently Secretary/Treasurer
  • Student Council club representative
  • Leo Club 2nd year
  • Class Officer, currently Secretary
  • SAT score 1220
  • ACT score 28
  • 5.5 math credits (pre-calc was about the most advanced math course I could take at my school)
  • 5 science credits
  • Upon graduation, I’ll have 24 dual credit college credits
  • 69 volunteer hours at time of application

@texprep I just noticed the same thing! It definitely said before that it wasn’t available under the housing tab. I wonder if this means anything??

Anyone hear any news about a wave tomorrow?

@dkmcollege r u serious??? I hope so
