@MotherLode Someone mentioned something about people getting in on reddit
Does anyone know how difficult Deans Scholars is? I understand it is very selective, but can anyone give me a comparison or statistics?
FYI that UT is closed Jan 16 due to icy weather.
@gradclass2022 - have you looked at this website:
If you look at the ‘Learn About Us’ section & then DS Stats- this is for the class of 2020 but, I think it is pretty typical for DS.

Please reply!!! i’m extremely stressed for the wave on friday /:
Does any one know which wave last year admitted the most COLA students?
@sa24pt The Chance Me’s won’t be any help, we are all in the same positions that you are.
When will emails start going out about 40 acres and terry scholarships?
last year the big wave was on 20th can we expect one on 19th
Are these waves only for applicants that applied before the priority deadline?
@rafaisgoat no. I got in on before or on 13th January. International CS, applied on 25th Nov
Hey i am an international student applying for ce.I applied by 27th October along with all completed documents.Does the decision before 1st February hold true even for international applicants?
@rafaisgoat Not necessarily. The promise for priority applicants is that they will hear back before February 1st. The promise does not state that all waves until February 1st are priority. There HAVE been non-priority applicants who heard back in the past waves as well.
@WineDrinker I’ve gotten a response email from both LAH office and FINAID today.
@Tennisboy2022 - Do you mean 40 Acres semi’s are announced today?
@Lupescupe from what I can tell COLA usually gives the largest bunch of decisions on the last wave. COLA is one of the colleges who look at candidates who choose them as their second choice major, so perhaps they wait to evaluate them in the mix after they get rejected from first choice major,
@screensbright from what I understand- yes if you applied by nov 1 you will be accepted or rejected by Feb1.
@tb2000 How would it work for me since I applied both of my majors as COLA 1.) Government and 2.) Economics.
has their been a lot of undergraduate studies decisions released? it seems as if it hasn’t released a large number yet so assuming it will on the last release right?
@ckmyd234 From what I know, the international students don’t apply as “priority”. So you will know your deadline by March 1st (or earlier depending on them).
