@labegg no need to be rude… I’m in school I was hoping someone who maybe isn’t could. We’re all going through the same process.
For some reason, I was totally under the impression that UT didn’t want to receive teacher recs because of how many applicants they have. I know on the website it says they are appreciated but not required. I obviously submitted my required counselor rec, but do you think the lack of teacher recs will severely hurt me??? I’m an in-state non auto
Re: speculation about waves. We need to remember that this has been the first year of a “priority deadline”. We can’t really go by what has happened historically, this year many people have a hear by date of Feb 1. That is the only thing we know for a fact. It sucks waiting.
I think after this whole process is said and done, my own personal hell would now be having to check and recheck My Status and continuously seeing “Your application is in admission for review”

Okay but what are they doing there? Supposedly they graph us on a chart, so why does it take so long. You’d assume they would be faster than that

Hey y’all, I just called and spoke to a really helpful counselor. Because decisions are usually released in waves on fridays we should check portals today between 3 and 6 and the same times next Friday because it could be either one. My guess is next Friday. The woman also told me that everything is extremely crazy due to the feb 1 notification date and there’s talk of not doing it again next year which makes me think they could be a little behind… it’s just a crapshoot though so who knows. My guess is as good as yours.

Just called UT admissions in Austin this time not Dallas, they said no decisions are coming out today and it will be ON february 1st

How do I get into UTDirect? I can get into MyStatus, but I don’t know about UTDirect. Can someone send me the steps I need to look at it? Thx.
so when you’re on your mystatus page there should be a “UT direct” icon on the left side of the page and that brings you to the UT direct part of the website I think
