UT Austin Engineering Honors Stats

Hi! I am a rising senior and planning to apply for Chemical Engineering at UT Austin. I have heard that engineering honors gives out generous scholarships and I want to apply for it. Can you post your stats if you are in engineering honors, and if you don’t mind, how much of a scholarship you got?

Any advice is appreciated!

I just had a ChemE graduate for UT Austin who was in Honors. ChemE is a demanding major and you’ll have to love process and process control systems as they relate to all forms of the chemistry industry.

If you are accepted into the Honors program you might be offered a scholarship not all are. Mine had a 4 year at $2500/yr having to maintain at least a 3.5 for all four years. I don’t know what is currently offered. Every engineer knows those engineering classes are hard so making as few B’s as possible is challenging.

UT Austin ChemE is a highly ranked program in the US so it is very competitive to get into the major. I don’t know your stats and each year is different.

Yeah, I wouldn’t count on a lot of scholarship money unless you’re an incredible student. It’s tough.
