UT-austin or George Washington U?

I have to make my commitment by Wednesday and I am so torn and confused. I'll give you the pros and cons for me for both schools.

TEXAS
pros

great city and nightlife
highly ranked
great weather
fun sports to watch
stronger in more academic categories
acting opportunity(have an agent there)

cons
paying full price (im out of state)
no diversity- 92% of students are from texas
can be difficult to obtain classes due to crowdedness
Huge school-could get lost in the crowd in the classroom

George Washington
pros
I'd get a life experience living in DC
best school for International Affairs
a little cheaper for me
perfect size for me (10,000 kids)
private-easier to get classes and connections with professors or transfer
amazing internship opportunities
can take a train to New York City for fun

cons
i don't know if I want to go into politics for sure
wont be able to visit before I decide
no acting opportunity
no real campus-its just buildings in downtown DC
nightlife might not be as fun as Austin texas
possibly dangerous areas a ways away from campus

Texas is the safer option but I feel like I'll always regret not going to live in DC because its such a great opportunity.

I would go to UT. Austin as a UT student is unlike any other and the Texas exes alumni network is outstanding. There’s always time in your life to live in a big city like DC, enjoy college it’s only 4 years. There’s no need to rush into a city, you have your entire career for that. Don’t be afraid of the size get involved and you the campus will seem much smaller

I’d like to add that just because most students at UT are from Texas, doesn’t mean it isn’t diverse. The state of Texas is a very diverse place, as is UT. You will find people from all over the world in Texas, especially in the major cities (Houston, Austin, etc). If you like acting and you have an agent in Austin, go there! I’m really into theater and i would hate to go to a place where there were little to no opportunities to get involved in theater. Just depends on how passionate you are about acting I guess, and if the pros of Austin will outweigh the cons.
As for the size, if you get involved in clubs then it will not feel so big.

Seems like you would enjoy Austin better.
