I'm thinking about majoring in Advertising Design or something along those lines. Which one has a better program and a better job lookout? If anyone is going to college there, how are the people?

I'm sure both are good, but I would pick UT Austin because the city is nicer, more diverse student body, and it's more prestigious. Unless you hate having huge class sizes and living with 40,000+ students, of course.

UT austin. hands down.

UT, not even close.

UT hands down.

UT-Austin.

I agree that if the huge # of people going to UT Austin isn't a factor to you, you should probably pick it.

I can't imagine picking SMU over UT except for financial reasons (fullride to SMU would be what it would take).

UT please. It is a very reputable school...

SMU strikes me the wrong way

Wow, unanimous.

Whoops, didn't mean to 'hijack' this thread. Sorry. Meant to start a new thread.

It's all good. :)

Not quite fair to SMU. Depends on what kind of environment you want. SMU is a good choice if you want more geographic diversity (60% of students are from out of state) and a less overwhelming size. SMU is in a wonderful area of Dallas. You need to be ready to be around a lot of wealthy students and like the Greek system, however.
