Has anyone heard back yet/does anyone know when spring transfer admissions normally come out? I need to let my current university know if I’m going back for the spring semester by Dec 1st. Do you all think most of us would know by then?
/rant on
I’m too old for this waiting game nonsense. Seems like a pretty clear cut business decision. School gets their money from the VA, I get a degree.
/rant off
@cattynebula I feel you. I’m older as well. This entire UT process is infuriating. I saw a post earlier in this thread where a guy already got into UM- Ann Arbor, but was waiting on this ridiculous UT process to come to an end before deciding. How can it take 1 1/2 months to do this???
Just read information I thought I’d share:
For UT Austin,
The current colleges and schools that allow spring transfer are: The College of Liberal Arts, The College of Education, the College of Natural Sciences, and the School of Social Work.
Read it on a website not sure if it’s true but other info mentioned was currect ¯_(ツ)_/¯
correct
I’m waiting for the CNS to release their decisions. I’m looking for my wife - I think I am more impatient than she is, but I know she really wants this. I check maybe one million times a day and she just checks every morning lol. Have any external transfers that we know of gotten a decision yet?
@rdam my friends friend got in but idk her major
@utbabe You should ask! lol
@rdam I’m a transfer awaiting the decision. I would think UT has already made its choice on 99% of us by now. I just can’t understand why the notification process is so slow, ugh?!
@Sith77 I agree. I’ve been wasting too much time checking so often. Checking the mail - checking the forums - checking the hashtags. Any day now right? I think after the end of this week hits I’m going to go crazy lol.
UT is testing our patience lol
My patience is running bloody thin.
I called the admissions office and They said decisions will start rolling out after thanksgiving break idk what’s up with them
They always say random times when they release decisions but I guarantee some of us will find out before the holiday
@utcolahopeful I really hope we do
This whole process is just so whack. Spring is suppose to classically be the time when there aren’t very many apps for admit. If true, why can’t UT seem to get decisions out in under 6 freaking weeks??? Some of us don’t want to be scurrying about looking for courses, places to live, etc., starting in December. The fact the university seems to care less about these factors gives me great pause???. As bad as I want to be admitted I must say I’ve got no patience for inconsiderate behaviour. Get it sorted UT.
@Sith77 I know, it is super inconsiderate! Whoever gets in will be scraping the bottom of the barrel for open classes by the time acceptances come out.
In several threads that go back to 2015, it seems many a student had their decision the week before Turkey day. I know many applicants have called admissions and there always seems to be a different answers given.
@sith77 I have a theory - I think they give whatever answer suits their mood. If in good mood, they say probably before Thanksgiving; if in bad mood, they are vindictive and say after December 1. LOL. Who knows…it is what it is - we have to not stress about something that is so out of our control.
@JaceyK Spot on. However, UT ought to understand what a nightmare this is by dragging this out so long.
