I’m a junior right now and am applying to McCombs. I’m in several clubs and have a lot of volunteer hours. I’m wondering how much of a chance I have at admittance.
Based on this year, I would say pretty good if you can keep your rank. It also depends somewhat on the breakout of that 1990 based on the AI formula. Search this forum for AI/PAI.
Have you taken the ACT? You can also take the new SAT. They will look at test scores sent in through the end of December.
Your math score might hurt you at mccombs. I would retake but as gettingschooled said, you should check out your AI first. You can take the SAT again by the way. They don’t administer the old 2400 sat anymore but there’s a new one out of 1600.
My daughter , now at McCombs had the same stats as you. However, your ACT score is higher ( she got a 30), and her rank was 2%. She did the expanded resume, gave 3 letters of recommendation and turned in 3 essays instead of two required. First choice McCombs and second, Economics. I think you have an excellent chance. Good luck!
Ok thank you for the perspective. I modeled my expanded resume after someone who got into the honors college but I only wrote two essays and gave two recommendation letters but hopefully my ACT score will even that out. Congrats to your daughter
